Cyprus is extremely generous when it comes to offering either a romantic memory, a historical adventure or just a sun filled stay. It has that affect on people that once you have been, you just have the urge to go back year after year. It forms part of peoples life to such a degree that they can’t resist the temptation of buying their own villa in the sun. If you are still thinking about it, well Cyprus is still a booming property investment island as growth is abundant and the bubble doesn’t look like bursting yet like it has in Spain or the UK.
I was very fortunate back in the 90’s and bought several properties in the UK and made a mint. I still have the same properties but with tenants with them, and this is why I think you will find Cyprus so interesting now. A part from the fact that Cyprus has almost perfect weather conditions throughout the year, the cost of living is also cheaper and with are lower cost housing market, renting is a wonderful way to rake in the cash.
You can make so much money on renting your villa out in Cyprus, in fact on some 3 bedroom villas you can easily charge over 1000 Euro a week (800), so as you can see this is easy money, but I must stress that you’ll only make this in the peak times. Winter times in Cyprus is still like the British summer, and to honest for the last few years I would even say it’s been better.
On average you will be raking in about 2000 Euro a month and you mortgage payment will less than half that amount, so you can see it is a worth while business plan. As I said before it is the right time to have a dabble on the Cyprus property market, so don’t dither around and start doing a bit of good research as soon as possible, before you purchase your Cyprus dream villa.
Another advantage about buying a villa in Cyprus is that you certainly will not have any communication problems. The banks and building societies are also very keen to get your business and will offer up to 75% mortgages to non-residents. Your legal representation will be bilingual and they will guide you through every step of the purchase and will make sure that when you complete there are no remaining outstanding bills on the property. All this and a smile for around 600 Euro and when it’s all over you’ll be the one with a big smile on your face.
You really can’t go wrong at the moment if you buy a villa in Cyprus both as an investment and as an ideal holiday home. You could rent it out to earn high rental income during the peak season and then spend the winter in more sunnier parts. What are you waiting for?
