This is a good weight loss read…

But does your fat blocker block the good fats as well? And are you eating good fats? What about the carbs, or I should say wrong carbs, you eat? Do you overdo those too? No fat blocker is going to help with that. Perhaps your point about diet and exercise are the best. Control you fat and carb intake by the diet you eat and be sure to get plenty of the right kinds of exercise as well.
