You may be familiar with many of those As Seen on TV products. Some seem too good to be true and others, many believe, could be scams. However, a new product that has a lot of buzz is the new Aqua Globe. These little bulbs will water your plants for you perfectly, every time! However, how much credibility can be given to these little globes?

So what are these Aqua Globes? They are little glass ornaments that will water your plants for you. It contains a hand crafted bulb with a long stem attached. This bulb contains the amount of water needed to feed your plant and this stem is injected into the soil. As the soil dries, the stem will drip a little bit of water to keep your plant hydrated all of the time. They claim that the Aqua Globe will hydrate your soil for 2 weeks!

After reading those claims, you may believe that this simple little product is too good to be true. Let’s break it down and understand why the Aqua Globe works. When the soil of your plant dries, oxygen is released. This oxygen will then creep up the stem of the Aqua Globe. When this infiltration occurs, space is created from the dropper. Then water escapes and the hole closes again. This is why the Aqua Globe keeps your plant.

From personal experience, I can say that the Aqua Globes do work. You have very little responsibility to keep your plants healthy. You should refill the bulb every two weeks. Also be careful when inserting the stem that no dirt clogs up the end. You can void this by poking the hole with a stick first and then sticking the stem there. Other than this, upkeep is minimal.

Another thing that you will have to make sure to ask yourself is if the aesthetics will take away from the look of your plants. I like the way the Aqua Globe looks, but some people may consider it to be an ugly bauble. Be sure that you are content with the appearance.

As far as functionality, the Aqua Globe meets all standards. I have such an easy time keeping my plants healthy. I have received complements galore and many believe that I have put in tons of hard work into my plants. Truthfully, I do little maintenance and keep them watered with the Aqua Globes. It’s amazing what proper water will do to a plant’s health!
