There is no doubt about it; there are far too many accidents on the road today. Even if you are the most careful and contentious driver on the road there is still a chance that someone will slam into your car causing you, at the very least, some property damage and maybe something far worse.
There is nothing you can do that will guarantee you a constantly safe and totally accident free driving experience, but there are several things that travelers can do to help minimize the amount of accidents that occur on the road every day.
Obey the Traffic Laws The state makes prospective drivers pass a test before they get behind the wheel for a reason, automobiles can be very dangerous if they aren’t operated properly and according to the laws of the road. Speed limits, traffic signs and all other traffic signals should be closely adhered to every single time someone gets behind the wheel, traffic laws are put in place to protect all of the travelers who are sharing space on the road. Following traffic signals isn’t an option, those drivers that treat it as such are usually the ones you see pulled over to the side of the road being handed a violation by officers or off the side of the road due to being involved in an accident after that required roadside assistance.
Pay Attention to the Road and Your Surroundings at all times There can be plenty of things going on in traffic all around you, so it’s crucial that you pay attention to everything going on around you. Driving should be your only focus while behind the wheel. Too many travelers use there commute to eat their breakfasts, drink their coffees, apply their make up and change their outfits and these are often the drivers that are involved in accidents. If you don’t have time to eat, change or apply your make up before you get in the car, it’s probably a good idea to start getting up earlier. Those five extra minutes of sleep won’t help you replace your totaled automobile or help with your rehabilitation following an accident.
Put Down the Cell Phone Our cell phones now are a huge survival tool, they let us make calls, receive and send text messages and e-mails, surf the internet and get directions, watch videos, take pictures and listen to music, among other things, but one place they don’t belong is in your hand while you’re behind the wheel. You simply can’t concentrate on the road and the things going on around you while you’re typing a text message or reading an e-mail. There are laws against using your cell phone while driving in many states now, and those laws are just as important to follow as all of the other laws on the road, you can read your e-mails and send your texts when you get to your destination, but doing so while your driving may not let you get to your destination at all.
Don’t Drive under the Influence Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol is a major cause of accidents and automobile related deaths. An easy way to prevent this is to not drive while you are under the influence, if you have to drink, and then find another way to get home. Have a sober friend drive you, take a cab or spend the night where you are, but never get behind the wheel after you’ve been drinking.
Many of the accidents that occur are preventable, if people would just pay attention and abide by the laws of the road. By staying aware of your surroundings you can help to minimize the chances that you’ll be involved in an accident, but if you choose to drink and drive or play with your cell phone while you’re driving then you are setting yourself up to become a statistic.

Dub wheels are undoubtedly the most in demand nowadays. They are made in all different designs and sizes. Some are fairly plain, others are more elaborate. You can find a style that’s just right for you. These much-loved rims are found on the automobiles of the rich and famous throughout the nation.
Among the types of dub wheels are conventional rims and spinners, which may be made with spinners integrated within the rim or alternatively they may have the spinners attached by bolts afterwards. With these rims, the spinner is nestled within the wheel, resulting in more stability.
A Pimpstar is a rim that has unlimited possibilities and is one of the coolest new Dub wheels out there. They have a full set of built-in LED display lights which is managed through a wireless modem and controlled by a microprocessor. The owner can use the software that is included to create almost any image imaginable and then send the image to the rims. Images can include anything from graphics, text, logos or even digital pictures.
Images can get launched prior to driving or while driving. They may also be altered while you drive. Operators may send illustrations to one individual rim or to all four of them. Actually, they can all have differing representations at the same time. These can alter while you drive, at your command, or by a pre-selected program.
The new custom wheels are fully sealed, so that when you go through a wash you will not ruin the rim’s ability to show the graphics. The system is powered by the electrical system in your car allowing it to be fairly low-maintenance.
Dub wheels are offered by a wide variety of manufacturers, both online and in brick-and-mortar stores. Sizes include 16-, 19-, 20-, 22-, 24-, 26-, and 28-inch inch models. Colors include chrome, black, and combination chrome/black. The rims are quite expensive, but many dealers offer financing.
Today there is a vast selection of Dubs on the market. You can outfit your Dub in any style, size, or color you like. Dubs are very popular today, you just have to flip through any pop culture magazines in order to see celebrities in their respective rides.

As a young teen, I used dream about what kind of car I would be driving one day. I don’t think I could have predicted that I would soon be getting around in a 1990 Honda Accord with over 200k miles in it. Yes, I own a beater, by any definition of the word.
Yes, I certainly have a beater. It is fairly reliable, working most of the time, but issues to crop up from time to time. I seem to loose coolant hoses quite a bit, which can be irritating. I’ve had to replace an alternator. The car as a whole leaks, shakes, and does not generally inspire much confidence.
If this is the case, why I am so glad to own this car? The reason can be summed up in a word: cheap. This car gets me around everywhere I need for next to nothing. It’s even survived a few long road trips (though those were slightly scary experiences at times). To sum up, it works.
At almost no cost to me, my vehicle fills all my transportation needs. I paid under $2000 for the car 6 years ago, which is very little. Even factoring in the repairs I’ve had to do, its still amazingly cheap.
That’s not the whole picture, of course. I have to pay insurance, which in my case is extremely cheap. I have the minimum amount of insurance required by law, which is quite inexpensive overall. This saves me even more money month after month.
Compare this to a new car. A newer car would cost me in payments, higher insurance, and more. Of course, I would probably spend less in repairs, but any way I look at it, I am saving a small fortune over the years by driving the beater around.
Of course, this isn’t going to work for everyone. Some people need better, more reliable cars. However, most people don’t realize how much money goes into their cars, money that I save by driving a clunker. Think about it yourself, and you might just save yourself a bundle.
